Breakfast crunch
5 minutes
We all deserve a sprinkling of goodness in the morning. Try this breakfast crunch on your cereal or just as a snack. Full of protein, healthy fats, calcium, copper and zinc to name a few. I recommend this to my clients who need thyroid health support.
Ingredients
1 tbsp tahini
6 tbsp sunflower seeds
8 tbsp pumpkin seeds
2 tbsp maple syrup
Directions
Pre heat oven to 170 fan (190C or 375F).
Put the tahini and syrup in a bowl.
Stir in the seeds.
Spread out evenly on a non stick baking free (silicon one or use baking paper so they don’t stick).
Bake for 30 minutes, giving them a stir after half time.
Allow to cool and put in kilner jar - they store well for up to a few weeks.
Notes
Tahini is made of sesame seeds which are a great source of calcium so these are a great option if you have a dairy free diet.
Pop the jar on the table at breakfast time to encourage your children to add this to their breakfast.
